Aidan standing up without holding on!!
After running a few errands this morning (in the rain), we played outside on the porch while Andrew worked in the yard. The weather was great after the sun came out. We put the play yard together on the porch with our foam puzzle squares underneath and got some toys out. I've been trying to convince the boys (mostly Jordan) that their balance is really good and they can stand for a few seconds alone. They didn't believe me until today! I think Aidan forgot that he was supposed to be holding on to my hand or the fence, so the first time he let go it only lasted a few seconds. But then he grinned and laughed and did it twice more. :) The last time, he held it long enough for me to grab the camera and snap a few pictures - how cute is he?? He just laughed the rest of the day. Jordan has actually been working on letting go of things while standing and then lowering to the ground with no hands. But he hasn't stood alone on purpose yet. He's got the balance to, though, when he decides he's ready. It won't be long now!
Here are a few more pictures of our fun day outside:
We took bottles out in our playpen and this was my view:
Both boys are getting a tiny bit more hair... Jordan's lays down flat, but Aidan's sticks up like this:
